BTW, whats with a large portion of the pics titled things like lonely, sad , broken ect. whats wrong with taking pictures of happy people? then again, judging how my entry is falling maybe I should have entered a "sad" shot.

what is wrong with taking pictures of sad and angry people?

nothing, there just seems to be a lot of them.

True as it should be homelessness is a huge problem and it figures there would be many in a challenge like this. And the rules say "Do your best to capture a quality photograph using street photography techniques" not don't shoot a homeless person.

Hey guys, Great shots! I am not a member (hopefully next paycheck) so I was just looking and can't vote. I must say I like what I see. I'm excited to see the final votes. You guys are so talented. Way to go!

I've got a completely stupid question now that we've all taken these shots and entered.........

Is taking people's pictures without their knowledge and putting them on the net in a competition and without their consent, LEGAL???? Or, are we all possible Jail Cell Mates now? *grin*

this is such a great and inspiring challenge. This is the kind of photography that first lead me to love the art. I am so stoked. I'm in awe at the great shots here.

Well, this entry's a departure from my norm and I figured it would be a love it or hate it. My two comments prove it... they're diametrically opposed :)

So far the loves and hates balance at 5.76.

this is the best at least technically shot I've ever made.
I love it and I love the idea, I was standing many days at one place to catch this.
*she said turning off the scores*
:)

Go Oliver! Nice score. Hang in there, Svetlana, as I'm quite sure yours is awesome.

I turned my scores off* prior to rollover - don't wanna watch this one from a score perspective, but it's fun to watch everyone else cheer and complain! :-)

*Which reminds me, my word of the week last week was "ausgeschaltet" which means to shut off, as in gas, when the gas guys came to do some work. Will that work with scores, too?
02/19/2007 03:50:04 AM · #97
