I agree. The shots for the games challenge are all great. That "How'd They Do That" section must've raised the bar!

Yeah, there really weren't any bad bad photos this time around.. I had a couple 2s but don't think I voted anything a 1...

I am also finding myself voting higher scores this time around. The entries are amazing!

On a side bar. Thanks admins for removing the "cursing domino" picture. I share this site with my children on a regular basis, and that was certainly not child appropriate.

I second that.

I voted one photo a one, it isn't there anymore, if anyone didn't see it, it was an unimaginative phrase spelled out in dominoes

Eddy...I got your last photo :-) and rated it pretty high.

Where I think you lost out was that the water drop was too small to allow folks to see the upside down element.

Do you have a macro ability on your camera?

Those types of shots are very hard unless you have a high quality macro..meaning you can get in about on top of the drop

Thanks I think your one of the 20 people or so that got the image. I bet if I turned it upside down I would gotten more votes LOL.

My camera does have Macro but its not that good. After I submitted my photo someone told me that you can use a magnifying glass to boost your macro. Check out this site it has a whole thing about it.

Too bad I dont own a magnifiying glass :) Must see if I can resolve that problem with next pay check.

BTW I liked your Martha Stewart reference in your last shot, very funny.

Yeah eddy..a simple magnifying glass.

Tou can even tape it to the front of the camera!

I was told that by the folks at the camera shop when I told them I wanted a macro set for my Canon. Luckily I had an adapter :-)

BTW, thanks for the compliment. I just bought my Digicam about a month aor so ago and I am quickly getting used to it's peculiarities. Now, can the camera get used to mine?

Yeah well... if hockey season was in I would have submitted something like this.

You can try other "funny' things too, since you're not wasting film.
I found a $0.59 prismatic "kaleidoscope" from Oriental Trading Co. which just fit the lens opening of my camera and got this:

Multi-Isaac

I'm sure had I tried a few more shots and settings (this was a spur-of-the-moment/all auto-settings shot) I might have gotten something a little better.
I've also used a polarized filter (just pressed against the lens housing).
