just like it says, im looking for a good lens i can use often.

Im considering the 28-75 2.8, but thats a little more than the $300 i wanted to spend. Just wondering if anyone else has a better idea.

I've got the 28/75 f2.8 Minolta on my Sony 100. Best decision I made. Bite the Bullet and Buy, you wont regret it, the 2.8 is worth every penny.

I use mine 90% of the time, covers me for most of what I want to do.

Personallay I'd save a little more and get the CA$500 sigma 18-50 2.8 or tamron 17-50 2.8 (or alternatively try to get them second hand from a reliable source)

you're going to miss the extra angle with the 28-75 on a 1.6x crop factor camera like the 350D

I have a pristine Tamron 24-135 for Canon. Its only 6 months old (I'm the original owner). I'm selling it for $260 plus shipping. Its a very sharp lens and in perfect condition. Check my listing in the Buy/Sell forum. Its range makes it an excellent walkaround lens.
