My first entry since October and I'm surely messing with my average.
Damn, it feels good to at least have an update button!
Besides I learned a valuable lesson with this challenge: Avocados not only taste horrible, they lose their color and become scary-ugly in a few short days.

| So the first comment I got was DNMC. I am wondering, it is fruits and vegetables challenge, my picture has an easily recognizable fruit right in the center, well off the centre, but you cannot help noticing it, as it is the only subject. How does it qualify for a DNMC comment ? Beats me ! |

Oh my god!! Would people PLEASE read the other comments already posted in this thread before complaining? ONE person is leaving the DNMC comments because that one person understands the challenge description to mean that the shot must include both fruits AND veggies. ONE person. That's one vote. His opinion isn't causing everyone's scores to suck, he is one voter.
Sorry, I'm in a rantish mood. :P

...edit to say I have not received a DNMC and do not have both a fruit and veggie in my image...perhaps they are not done commenting.

i think there's a little too much hostility around! LOL
so i'm going to make it my endeavour to comment on every photo in the challenge! :)
i've just done 10% and i'll go back and try to do another 10-15% before bed.
i vow to do 100% before the challenge finishes! and i'll to my best to make every comment constructive ... but it's a lot of typing, so please excuse the occasional "good job" comment! :)
aaaargh!! 316 photos ... what am i thinking! LOL

The Description of the Challenges sometimes says too much
"Fruit(s) and(or) Vegetable(s)" it was enought!

| I didn't enter the challenge (despite numerous ideas, just no time) but I have done my first perusal of the entries. A lot of good shots, a lot of 'expected' shots, and some quite unique interpretations. I will do my best to counter all those DNMC votes. |

I'm very curious about how the stock shots are faring..
I've a non-stock pic so how's the rest competing.. hell I think by the end of it I'll be giving out fours to pics that would ribbon in other challenges..

People, people, get ahold of yourselves! It's an online digital photography contest, not feast, famine, destruction, and chaos! (Well, maybe some shots qualify...) It's fruits, it's vegetables, it's occasionally both, but it is most certainly not the end of the world as we know it. Relax! Go shoot something other than fruits and vegetables. Eat what you shot, with lots of butter or sugar, depending. Chill, and have a great day! :-)
