Heeheeeheee! Hey, if I can make just one person's heart stop or make them cry, I know I've done my job here.

I'm starting the 'meanies' club:

Art Roflmao - President
Brad - Vice President
Yanko - Secretary

(trying to find a more appropriate name for the club - 'meanies' is good for now)

Yanko - Secretary <----Rumor has it he has the legs for the job.
Me? I have lots of Vices, even a big one on my toolbox,
and that Art guy - more like a dicktater than a president (potato in lap)

I regretfully decline membership in the "meanies" because it would create a conflict of interest with my membership in the Poor Saps. As rival gangs, in the inevitable war between the "meanies" and the "Poor Saps", I would not know whether to beat myself up or to let myself get beat up.

edit: oh snap! This thread has gone awry and I somehow feel partially responsible.

Art bowed out and as soon I run Brad over with my car I'll be President. Woot.

I personally don't care who changes their usernames. It confuses me for a few days, but I will get used to it. For a few days I will think who is this Rebecca chick but it will eventually sink in that she is karmabreeze and her name has changed.

In that note I also think people need to think before they make a username. I got this e-mail the other day about top 10 Unintentionally bad website addresses and thought it would fit good here:

1. www.whorepresents.com

"Who Represents" where you can find the name of the agent that represents a celebrity

2. www.expertsexchange.com

"Experts Exchange" where programmers can exchange advice and views

3. www.penisland.net

"Pen Island" for all your pen needs--and that's it. Got it?

4. www.therapistfinder.com

"The Therapist Finder." Hmmmm.

5. www.powergenitalia.com

"Power Gen Italia," the Italian Power Generator company. I wonder if they link to www.penisland.com? Bad. Joke.

6. www.molestationnursery.com

"Mole Station Native Nursery" in New South Wales

7. www.ipanywhere.com

"IP Anywhere" for your computer software needs (and only those needs)

8. www.cummingfirst.com

"First Cumming Methodist Church"

9. www.speedofart.com

"Speed of Art" designers

10. www.gotahoe.com

"Go Tahoe" holiday brochure website

****************End Thread Hijack*******************

I just think we all need to remember to be careful when choosing a username or a web address.

I do not think it is appropriate to change the name. Now that you have chosen "meanies," you should stick with it. We can't just have clubs changing their name all the time...

I have a friend with the website: petescape.com
He means it to be "Pete-Scape", since his name is Pete.
A place called "Pet Escape" is trying to buy him out.

Wow, I don't know if I remember a admin announcement thread ever getting this far off-topic without a fight breaking out... *happy feelings*

This is probably the best place to announce

legalbeagle => Matthew

The reason - because that is my name.

Now to terrorise the neighbourhood with my new moniker.

I don't know what you are talking about - the "meanies" and the "Poor Saps" are meeting after school to rumble.

I was reading a post in rant and thought it sounded just like you, but was written by some Matthew bloke. Very confusing.

Can I apply to change my name to legalbeagle now ? ;) What happens to these orphan, abandoned monikers, other than languishing in 'used to be known as' purgatory ?

I think if it was a well-known name we are likely going to decline the change in the interests of avoiding confusion.

That must not be true; legalbeagle was definitely a well known name...

Anyone can join the Clan of Too - as long as you fulfill the list of prerequisite actions. So when can I expect the 30D in the mail?

To avoid confusion, names previously assigned to active users are not available for reassignment.
