Just bought my Canon lens ( 50 mm f/1.8 II ) ... welll cant wait to try it !!! not that expensive but as i saw , it worth it !

well....I just wanna tell it !

hehehehe mine arrived yesterday!! It really does feel cheap and rubbish but its sooooo wide open and sharp.

Works beautifully with extension tubes too.

Shame you just missed using it for the Shallow DOF Challenge - it's amazing wide open!
Have fun - and don't cut yourself - it's pretty darn sharp!

Silly question but it's the only way I'll be able to get an answer....

I noticed the Tamron lenses have a ring at the back of the lens with the f-stop numbers on them. Does this mean that the f-stop must be controlled manually instead of by the camera or...is that just how they label it for something else?
