Hi. This is Brandon. He was watching a bird. Is his nose too close to the edge? I rotated the image. Is it ok this way or too confusing.
Thanks for any comments you have time to make.
Oh forgot the link. The picture is larger than usual. Sorry.

A link to a photo would help. :)

I like it but a few areas seem a bit over sharpened? [nose and upper left on forehead]?do cats have foreheads?

The lighting and pose are superb. I also like this in b&w.

You know, I didn't use any sharpening. That's the way it came out of the camera. Maybe I should soften it.
Yes, cats have foreheads and they can help you identify the type of cat it is by looking at the shape.

I don't think the nose is too close to the edge... I like the composition, the lighting and I think the use of b&w was well chosen.

I think the best area of interest is from the mid point of the forehead down. Right about where the dark color of fur starts, I lose some interest and find myself looking back to the rest of the face.

I like the way you rotated it. It's kind of different and that's what makes it an interesting picture. Comments left on picture.

I dunno... I think maybe his little nose is a bit too close to the edge. I like the composition, it really gets you in there wondering what he is up to, but I do feel it's a bit cramped.

I thought so, mcmurma, about his nose. Darn it, I like it and didn't want to think it was too close. Well, that's why I have a wall, to hang all my favorites that are not right, but are pleasing to me.
Thanks for the good advise from everyone.

I think the rotation makes it more interesting. Check you camera manual -- most cameras have one or more settings for in-camera sharpening. You may be applying sharpening unintentionally.

haha. This sigma doesn't have an aa filter (as far as I know) so it doesn't have any in camera sharpness adjustments. It's either focused and sharp or not. Sadly, with me, it's mostly not. I think it didn't downsize very well is all. Original looks good at full size. Thanks for the suggestion though. I do that a lot with my fuji.
