i'm still waiting for my coffee... it's been years!

I don't say much around here, but I appreciate a lot. I appreciate the old timers who've stuck around to make this such a great learning environment. I appreciate how easy it is to express your feelings and ideas (when you are so inclined). I appreciate the high regard for good photographs and the tremendous tolerance for bad. I appreciate that humor which sometimes cuts to the quick and then turns around and salves any wounds. I appreciate the help I get when I ask for it. I appreciate that I am welcome here any time I want to show my face (or someone else's) and that you keep letting me back in the door. I appreciate that you don't laugh in my face. I think I'll keep coming back. The coffee is cheap enough.

edited for clarity

Roger,

I have only been here a couple of years. I have looked at many sites and this is the only one I really feel like I am with friends.

By the way Roger, I will be adding a few images I just took of a Catholic Church in Cincinnati that was just Awsome! I am going thru alot of pictures I took last week end. Was on a trip there.

I'd never seen this thread before - very cool... should indeed be required reading. Again, Brad - Cheers!

Mmmmm, coffee (*imagining that first smell - right before the sip*).

Does this mean we're finally going to have a "Coffee and cigarettes" challenge?

Ha. This is the first time I saw this thread and I thought I'd post the following words before actually reading any of it.

If by dpc as a coffeeshop you mean that it is full of pretentious a-holes who think they're better than everyone else then it definitely compares to a coffee shop!

Now off to read the thread. :D

It took me three months to understand that "Coffee shop" and "Coffee and cigarettes" are two quite different approaches to life, love, Universe, void, Jim Jarmusch, and everything else in between. I think it will take me three more months to come up with a lucid, cogitable explanation. Maybe more...
