Sometimes while working in Photoshop, I notice that the brush outline disappears after a while. While the brush "works" I cannot see the outline of what I want to paint, dodge, burn, blur, etc. At this point it is a "guess" and also at which time I usually stop working. I've closed out the program and restarted, but the brush outline doesn't come back for a while. I've searched "help" and everything I can imagine to find how to get the outline back. Can anyone give me suggestions as to how to get the outline back so I'm not working "blind"? Thanks

I forgot to mention that I'm working with Windows XP and Photoshop 7. And actually, while I had the program minimized to do this question, the outline came back, and I don't know why or how.
