Grabbed my camera while feeding my youngest.

This one too

And another, of my 2 year old:

I know many here hate pics of kids, but they are the best candid subjects, and I'm around them a lot.

I'd like to post a photo but I don't know how. Can somebody tell me pls?

Not everyone hates kids. Mainly just the folks who give a great quality kid shot a 1 but a T&A shot a 10. Ignore it and do what pleases you!
Photographing candids of kids takes talent, so don't shortchange yourself. I haven't gotten a decent shot of my 16 mo. old in months.

The easiest way to do this is to load the photo in your browser and copy and paste the page URL into the forum text box, then check the Automatically parse URLs box just below the text box.. Other means to do the same thing via a thumbnail etc. are here: //www.dpchallenge.com/tutorial.php?TUTORIAL_ID=17

The new easiest way to post a photo is to use the Insert Thumbnail button (top-rightmost) at the top of your text-entry box.

Every photo has a unique, usually 5-digit number. If you position the mouse over the image or a link to it, your browser should display the URL somewhere. Near the end will be something like "Image_ID=NNNNN"

Just click on the Insert Thumbnail button and enter that number in the text-entry box which pops up.

Your post will display a thumbnail image which is also a link the the photos gallery page.

Note if you later go back and edit the post, the Thumbnail tage will have been translated into the complete site code needed, and will look different.

A couple of mine. I've recently realized that I enjoy taking candid shots of people in public places. Photos tell a lot more stories when there's people in it. This was taken at the finish line area of a marathon recently held in Toronto.

This blurry pic shows interesting movements in it so I decided to keep it. Create your own story if you like. :)

GeneralE: I think that way of posting works only if the photo is uploaded to DPC and so it won't work for me.. I'm not a member (yet)..... soon :) thanks though.

Sorry, wasn't paying attention to your shirt color. Looks like you got it figured out OK though!
I like the second one -- you are right that the blurriness does not "ruin" it -- you caught them at just the right time.

This was a photo I took for a Candid challenge a year ago but I submitted another intirely different photo instead that did not fair too well. Later on I realized that I liked this one much better and wish I had submitted this one instead. Even though I really like it I have wondered what others think. So here's your chance to comment.

Here is the only decent candid shot I have up to this point. It was my Dreams and Nightmares submission.

Have a good one.

Caught this little mugger just after she got off a merry-go-round in a park one day last summer. Not the greatest shot technically but I love her expression.

I have tons of candid shots that I like. It's one of my favorite forms of photography.

This is in Paris, France:

Also in Paris:

Here's a whole set I just did in Spain a month or so ago:

I love this shot! Shows you the "other side"... love the tones you selected for it. It tells of a situation any time any place. :)
