Basically, grits = polenta, if that helps. There are differences, but they are very similar.

"I had a friend for dinner, with some fava beans and a nice little Chiante."

No, actually ....

A Bowl of Special K, and a machiato (espresso and milk)

Peanut Butter & Honey sandwich, some dried salami, cured olives, and some pecorino cheese.

2 half liter bottles of water (Frizzante).

Pasta with a nice pesto sauce, brussel sprouts and a bit of red wine.

Ugghhh! Brussel sprouts!! They should be banned, the most obnoxious vegetable ever discovered.

I have eaten an egg & bacon bagel, beans on toast and a cheese roll with cheese & onion crisps. Not all at once, spread over 12 hours.

I ate Fruits and Vegetables. ...then realized I should have photographed them first!

Oh well, I'll wait for digestion and go for the brown. 8O

Nononono - Brussel Sprouts are great!
I managed to forget to bring some bread to work today and ended up making two flour tortillas, mayo, onion & roast beef roll-ups.
Belly's not growling anymore though.

I have an absolutely wonderful recipe for a Brussels sprout casserole.

Brussels sprouts are an acquired taste. The vegetable requires tough love! To know them is to love them, these cabbage warts.

No - that would be Anchovies.

I'd rather blow a dead dog than eat an Anchovy.

Forgot all about this thread....

I love anchovies. And I love Brussles sprouts, too. If they are not overcooked, they are really good.

However, today I've had coffee with milk, two slices of Ezekiel bread with egg salad, which I made. Then I ran errands and got more coffee - and that's all so far. It's 4:30PM. I've been shooting fruits and veggies - can't wait to be finished so I can eat them! Ahahahahaha!

I got to spend the dinner hours at a fund-raising function at my kids' school today. We got cafeteria-style spaghetti while they held a silent auction. I won a sterling silver ring in the auction - and heartburn/upset stomach from the dinner! ugh!
