Well I've never tried one of these because of my past work schedule, now that has changed drastically and I do like this idea lots! I will try my best from Louisville, KY! |

Go to the subscription page and click on 1 Year Basic Membership Renewal ($25.00 or $2.08 per month) button.
That opens up a new section at the bottom:
Choose any upgrade options you are intersted in: <---just noticed a typo there too)
[] 950MB Additional Portfolio Space ($20.00)
[] 450MB Additional Portfolio Space ($15.00)

Room for one more? I did not do so well with the 30 days of Christmas side challenge, so I would like to try again to see if I can actually take one per day this time. Let me know if there are already too many. It is okay.
My location? Boring, Connecticut

In your portfolio, no dimension may be longer than 800 pixels. Other than this restriction, there is no size limit.
To post a portfolio photograph in the forum:
Open up the portfolio photograph and find the image-id number. This is in the web browser's url at the end. For example, for your perspective IV photograph, the image-id is 430047.
When you post a reply in a forum thread, you will see 6 icons at the top left corner. The second icon from the right allows you to input an image-id number and will result in a thumbnail post of your image.
For example, - your image.
Thanks for the information. I have a lot to learn here.
Steve
When someone clicks on the thumbnail, the image will open to full size. [/quote] |

What does this mean?
I've tried not to appear too stupid and weird, but after my B&W entry, and a ribbon after six months of anonymity, what the heck, stupid is just another of the services I offer!
Can I get in on the 30 Days Where I live?
It's winter, but there's all kinds of good stuff where I live.
Central Pennsylvania, BTW.

Yes! I'd love to do this 30-day challenge, I've done 2 in the past and enjoyed them. I usually shoot my city for my blog anyway, so this won't be too difficult.
Edited to add I live in St. John's, Newfoundland

Are the daily photos supposed to be posted here or somewhere else with just a link to the daily photo?

either way you'd like to do it. if u dont want to use up space in your portfolio then u can use an outside image hoster but its easiest for viewers/commenters if u post them in your portfolio here on DPC.

You would have to be a member to have a portfolio on DPC but that's not required for this forum. It just makes it easier to receive comments from here. |

They are amazing pictures, that storm looks like it has done some serious damage. We don't really have ice storms over here in the UK (well not where I live anyway), how does it happen is it like a blizzard or freezing fog or does it just get so cold that everything freezes like that? I can't understand how ice could get so thick on a tree branch that it would break it off!! Sorry if I am sounding a bit dense but I have never seen anything like that!!........................... Well I have just googled it and now I know!
