How about photographing where you live for 30 days?! Your bedroom, house, neighborhood, city, country. I think it would be such a cool opportunity to see the broad range of whereabouts of our fellow DPCers as well as a great opportunity to explore where we live. Whatttttya think? Perhaps start the first of February?

I'd have to do 7 pics on Sundays, seeing as I drive to work with just enough time to get here,
and by the time I leave, it's dark, and repeat this 6 days a week.
(if I even leave work - often stay cuz' it's too late or too damned cold, in other words, have no life)

I can get those ground level perspective shots more easily. And somedays these shots can be hard on the elderly.

Great, just be prepared for some rubbish photography, I don't know how my camera works yet and I will take a picture of just about anything, it just never seems to work out in the photo like I had seen it in my head ;oD

I would love to join in, but we are about to have another royal visit where I work, so photos are out of the question. Maybe another time.

now this is one you could count me in on. I just can't bring myself to do SP's for a month...not even a week. I'd be happy to show you 30 days of the Alaska life.

i might be in. however, it might just be me re-processing some pictures of where i live rather than taking new ones. it's rather not attractive right now, and too cold to go out. Maybe 12 from each season or something . . .

Karma - it can't be any colder there than it is here in Alaska! There have been a few days that it is so cold my camera will only work for a couple shots before the batteries are drained. But if you shoot from inside your vehicle - out the open window - you can get more bang out of them.

I'd be interested too, at least for part of the thirty days. I think karmat's right... it's kind of dull, grey, wet, dead, dreary, cloudy, foggy, brown, and depressing across most of the northeast, so it might not be the greatest time of year to do this. Though that's a challenge in itself too.

I'd like to join in. Of course, it's been raining or drizzling a lot lately. But I'm game!
01/16/2007 05:11:45 PM · #19
i think it'll be a cool opportunity to find the beauty in the gloomy rainy weather :)
01/16/2007 05:23:20 PM · #20
I think that's a good idea! :-)

oooooo, this will be exciting!

day 1: sitting in my recliner in my basement office
day 2: sitting in my recliner in my basement office
day 3: sitting in my recliner in my basement office
day 4: sitting in my recliner in my basement office
day 5: sitting in my recliner in my basement office
day 6: sitting in my recliner in my basement office
day 7: walking down the stairs to get to my recliner in my basement office.
day 8: see day 1

I really need to get out more...

$760 on American and Icelandair via NYC/JFK. Have fun! Hmm. Maybe I'll join ya. :)

Shanny, sign me up. It'll give me another excuse to shoot Washington, DC memorials. But I'll also try to get things like my kids' school, our house, etc.
