I have the following photo uploaded to Dreamstime and Shutterstock and it sells quit well.

I recently tried to upload it to Istock and was informed that they wouldn't accept it because of copyright violation on the wrapping paper. I was wondering if this is something I should be worried about. Should I remove it from the other sites?

ha, good question.

depends on how 'nervous' you are. Different agencies view the copyright laws differently, or take less chances. some times they miss things that others catch.

On the safe side : delete it.

On the care-free side: it will probably be ok.

Keep it... istockphoto are a bunch of f***tards anyway. As soon as I get back to a decent payment amount I'm dropping them.

10 times the work to get photos up, half the amount made at shutterstock. Just not worth it.

FWIW, that paper looks pretty darn generic...

Beautiful photo by the way. I can see WHY it sells well.

Copyright?
How can anyone tell how designed the wrapping paper? Who would really care anyway?

Too many people are worrying too much about getting sued (it is a valid worry though). I wish everyone would find another way of solving their problems. It just makes it too difficult for us chumps who are constantly trying to protect ourselves.
