Hi everyone :)
I am trying to comment on as many images as I can in "B&W portrait" & "Best of '06" challenges.
Just wanted to mention, the way I score & comment is the following: 90% emotional impact on me, 10% technical skills.
I decided to post this, so I wouldn't have to explain this individually to a lot of fellow DPC(ers).

You'd better re-read the DPC Terms of Service. I think it's against the rules to score over 90% based on any single criterion. I think there's also a voting dress-code.

The way I see it, emotional impact is created not so much by the subject matter, as form composition (including negative space), choice of colour scheme (or B&W and toning), high vs. low key, DOF, etc., etc., etc..
The technical aspect of it is how well any of these techniques are executed.

Nice texture, I like the gooey mixed with gritty ... still tastes like crap
