Definitely the rose colored glasses, methinks.
I've looked at the score on mine twice. Has dropped nearly 4/10ths from the first time to the second time. I daren't look again. With two weeks to go, at that rate I'd be in negative numbers. Though that could be a first here on DPC.... |

ARGARGARGARG!!! People keep thinking my subject looks overprocessed, when it's not! You all ever think that maybe something looks naturally cool? And they're scoring me down because of that...grrrr

Many people are thinking I airbrushed most of my photo too, when I didn't. That's how it really looks in real life!! I added highlights and at the very last second I decided to saturate and sharpen.
HUGE MISTAKE to sharpen. That tool should be taken away from me!!
Great images in this Challenge, btw. I stand in awe. :)

Yeah, the voters are crazy....they keep commenting things like "Perfection!" and "10-10-10", but they are way off, because my score is only in the 7's...heh.

Tee hee. ..if your average weren't so ridiculously high, that would be much easier to do :)
I would feeel pretty proud if my "Best Of" score came even close to SCalvert's average :)

Yep..I've had that on a few of my shots. Then just recently found out why - my monitor is crap :/ When I viewed the photos on a good monitor, I found out the voters were right! Or the other way too...your monitor might be fine, but the voters have a wide variety of viewing levels with all the different monitors being used. |

I fully agree. I thought my husband's monitor was crappy, until I saw the pixelated area one voter commented on. I didn't notice that in my laptop screen.
