On behalf of Team Chasing Butterflies, I would like to award two Yappies this week, to two very hard-working commentators:

Larus and e301 both gave tons of thoughtful comments on the challenges that were completed this past week or so. We proudly present you the Yappie Sucker, which you can put on your profile, your signature, hang from the doorknob, etc.

And our own beloved Melethia is awarded the OOBIE sucker for her welcome breath of fresh out-of-the-boxness in the frightful Fireworks challenge:

Here you go, Deb!

ah... soak it in, baby!!

Let's hear it for these wonderful contributors to DPCland!

WTG everyone. Especially Melethia, who totally deserves it for that shot :-)

I confess to being a little bummed nobody nominated my "Crustacean" entry in the "patterns" challenge for an Oobie, though :-(

Oh, and while I have Larus's attention, levyj413 and I have devised a new award for Team Suck... The "I Beat Larus" Sucker which will be presented whenever that happens. I'm aching to have one on my profile page.

Perhaps raish could come up with an appropriately modified sucker?

((btw, raish is a notorious poet and not to be trusted))

I agree that your entry deserved a nod. We were remiss in collecting nominations this week... what can we say? We suck!

See....I could beat Larus, but I'd have to move north, and then find the Icelandic Princess, and all those cool places, and that'd be such a hassle!

Oh......then there's that talent thing, too!

DAMN!

This sucker points south of Iceland

Needs work...

Congratulations Melethia for your well deserved OOBIE. And thanks to Larus and e301 for all your helpful comments.

Congrats Melethia. I agree hers was very much out of the box. Btw, why on earth are you giving Larus another award? I don't care if he earned it. This will only go to his head!

If he starts to comment more, to get more of these, he has less time to make challenge entries, leaving the rest of us more of those :-)

Woo hoo! Thanks, guys!

OK, I admit shamelessly plugging my own shot for the OOBIE which is probably not really very polite...

But I do want to thank Larus and Mr Clarke for really going above and beyond on commenting in recent challenges. Thanks, gentlemen!

Haha, don´t know if I deserve it but I´ll take any award I can get :)

Oh and totally agree about Melethias shot, think it was way underrated and gave it a 7 and I don´t give out many of those :)

Thx guys!

Hearty congratulations Larus and e301. Those awards are well deserved for contributions way above and beyond the call of duty. With a bit of luck, everybody else can feel good about you getting them. It's all about paying attention, or the ferry man, or something.

Serious thanks to the winners, and to the academy...

I've never really had an entry that got a lot of comments before.....does this seem to y'all like a lot of comments for this early in the challenge?

Did you just volunteer to make one?

Didn't anyone explain?

Raish that huge sucker with um, Larus running from your dustdevil, or whatever it is, made me LMFAO. You should consider a career in graphic art.

As a past Oobie winner, I know that Melethia's head is swimming now. It is always an honor to have your photographs appreciated on a level that goes above composition, color, clarity, cut, carat, and cuteness.

Thanks are in order to Posthumous and all of Team Suck for their dedication to finding and calling out the best in out-of-box shots and out-of-box commenters. You are working to make this site all the better.

Good work and good luck.

Here's a sucker for you, too.
