If I had of known when we brought the logitech X530 speakers two days ago that my husband would spend two whole days trying to install them I might not have agreed to get them!
When he had them plugged into the computer they all worked fine. But when he added his own wiring to spread them around the room they are not working grrr!!!!
Anyone got any helpful advise?

speaker wiring should not be too difficult, what seems to be not working when you change from the standard setup?

All the speakers are not working together so what could b wrong with his wiring?

Not knowing the setup it's hard to say. Did he change the source of the sound going into the speaker system? Did he splice new wires into the ones already there to extend them?

yeah he added extra length to the wires that came with the speakers so he could put them around the room.

More likely to not have a good connections but... How long are the extensions? If it's crazy long could be too far :-)

I think he did it on purpose and you should treat him like a king tonight (wink wink) and see how well they work tomorrow. :-)

May be they are polarity sensitive and he has the wires mixed up and going to the wrong terminals on the speaker. Switch them and see if that is better.

Did you just call sex "whoopie"?

Did you ever host a Newlywed show?

Check everything again, make sure everything's plugged in for power and turned on. Make sure all the devices are on the right setting. If they're hooked up to the tv/dvd/cd, whatever, make sure one of them works sending an output, maybe with your old speakers? Make sure all the right cables are hooked up to the right inputs and outputs. If this all doesn't work I would do is take out the extention on one of the speakers, and see if it works without the extentions on. But even before that i would try switching the wires like somebody else suggested, because that's easier.

I had those for a little bit, they are nice. Computer speakers don't really like being taken apart and rewired though so I'm thinking that's the issue. I had those until I blew them and upgraded to the Klipsch 5.1 set. That one has no problem with extending the wires since they are normal speaker wire to begin with.

I have a question about my desktop speakers.

They worked fine the other day. I moved my computer and now my speakers dont work. I even tried i different set of speakers and they wont work either. Could it be my sound card or something????? I know nothing about whats in my computer, but thats the only thing i could think of.

What kind of speakers are we talking about? Do they just have one plug, or are they battery powered, or maybe you put the plug into the wrong port on the back of the computer. They're hard to read sometimes but it's usually the one all the way on the left if you're facing the back, or the one next to that. Man, I feel like these problems could have been easily solved if I could have gotten there to see what was going on haha.

I know, I absolutely love mine. The only downside is that they aren't cheap. But anyone looking for a great sound system for their computer (or home audio too I guess) definitely look into the Klipsch setups.
