Subject says it all. Is anyone submitting video to Istock, and if so, is it worth doing?

My guess is that it is not worth doing for an immediate return, but it is an investment into the future to get in on the "ground floor."

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything on a search.

I want to, but I need to see if they'll take the full-motion video from my camera -- I don't have regular access to a camcorder, and my editing capability is severely limited right now.

Shutterstock is also accepting video clip submissions.

I am looking at purchasing a new camcorder soon--- so I thought I would look into this venture.

Yeah, me too. I was thinking of going HD with the Sony SR1. Definitely not pro level, but should do 1080i HD good enough for istock. You get pretty good commission for HD clips.

I just purchased a very nice camcorder....it is not HD, but the quality of this 3 CCD camcorder produces a comparable video clip. I am going to give stock video a try---looks like a lot of fun, and there is a need for all types of footage.

i am going to, but with rendered video instead. i have a few clips that i've been working on for myself that i think i'm going to turn into stock footage. i'm excited and am looking forward to trying it out!
