Went to the National park today and took some photos,comments are wellcome!

Beautiful fall tree shots, I like your dunes trail 1 shot best.

Great shots. I especially like "Dunes Forest" for the absolutely amazing colour!

I agree with natator, the "Dunes Forest" image is my favorite...although I like all 3 tree images.

I love this place and I haven't been for about 15 years! As a child, my parents took me here every weekend -- sometimes even twice a weekend. I lived there on weekends! It's a stunning place.

Did they make it a National Park now? It used to be a state park...

Just curious, is it still a safe place? There has been some high crime there in the past few years...which has kept me away.

Stunning photos! It is so hard to believe this is the Midwest!

I marked several of them as my favorites. Great photos Pitsaman! Love'm!

Thanks Renee for the very kind words about the photos! :-).It is both,National Lakeshore ans State Park.Safety might not be perfect in Summer time because of the huge amount of people visiting the beach,but at this time it's perfectly safe.

I grew up about 10 minutes south of the Indiana Dunes and spent many days and evenings swimmming in the lake or hiking the trails. Thanks for bring back some very fond memories.

Do those people not see you taking pictures? I would be yelling at them to move out of the way. Just a thought.

It's hard to find that place empty even on 38 degree windy day!
