My seach bore no fruit, so I am asking you photographers what I need. My Pbase account is expiring and I would like to change services. Flickr Pro is similarly priced and offers a lot more. Are there any other good services in the same price range which allow me to show my portfolio to businesses and clients?

Thanks,
Harry

Smugmug - personalize your site and oh.... for the price.... unlimited uploads - that means use them as your back-up service. Worth the fee in my opinion.

I second smugmug and if you decide to go that route let me know I will help you design it if needed.

Hosting packages are getting real cheap. I would just buy hosting and a domain name. You can get a good domain name from mydomain.com for $3.50 by using the promotional code "5dollargift" until Dec. 18th. And you can get good webspace from hastyhost.com for 1.99 a month. Install a wordpress installation and boom! Good to go!

Hi Harry, I took a look at your pbase and while I'm a big fan of Smugmug like idnic and rex, I think you might like Flickr just as much.

Flickr is a bit cheaper than Smugmug, and if you have a Vox blog you can blog your photos right from within Flickr.

Customizing Smugmug comes with the pro account, which is significantly more expensive than what it seems like you want to pay.

You might want to PM jmsetzler, who has just recently made the move from pbase to Flickr.

If you aren't ready to create your own website and have your own domain yet, you can check ZenFolio. :)
