I noticed that when I photograph people (Pentax K110 D)wearing black the color comes off with a purplish cast..is anyone else having trouble with this?

No matter what color my subject is wearing it always seems to turn out like crap.

Always or under certain lighting conditions? Using flash or no? Since there are no TRUE black clothes, there could be a lot of things affecting it.

Edit: when I say there are no true black clothes, I mean that all fabrics reflect some light. If they were true black we coulnd't see any reflections from them.

It's fairly common, actually, for black clothes to throw off a purple reflection. As Leroy pointed out. And if your monitor is showing too much saturation, this will be exaggerated.

The purple is more pronounced if I use flash or daylight balanced floodlights! I have even tried to WB manually, but no matter what my blacks look purple! Has anyone tried PS to correct the problem?
