Natalya is back home and once again, and with us in the DPC-land.....

LOL!

Leroy, I think poor Andi had a hard time keeping up with the ever changing 'news' from my doctors! Everytime we spoke it seemed they were 'guessing' and saying I had something different!

I should also add that in many of my conversations with Andi from the hospital I myself was not in a good 'state' (mentally or physically). Whilst trying to gain information from me to update this thread Andi was also performing the unenviable task of mopping up my tears and keeping me smiling and for that I will be eternally grateful :o)

**Update**

Woohoo! I get to update now! :o)

Thanks again for all your kind words, thoughts and prayers. You have all helped me immensely these past few weeks, its amazing what 'virtual' support can do when your feeling low.

So, how things stand this week...

I had a brief blackout a couple of days ago and have managed to add a sprained wrist to my current ailment list :o( Since coming home from hospital things have been tough. I have tried my hardest to do things around the house like I used to and being a very independent, determined and stubborn person asking for help is out of the question! (just ask Andi!) It became easier for me to skip meals then to tell anyone that I was struggling to get around and to cook for myself. At 26 years old admitting you can not take care of yourself isn't easy. But, after serious words from those closest to me I have finally accepted that as well as the various pieces of equipment installed around my home I need a little extra help for awhile. From next week I will have a home help coming in twice a day to help me with general day to day jobs.

I had some good news today. Bradford Royal Infirmary has accepted me on to its waiting list for my foot. I should see the surgeon in no more than 6 weeks and have surgery in no more than 6 months. So hopefully the possible 18 months I was going to have to wait for surgery will be cut to about 7 months!

Other than that I am waiting to see the Chronic pain team to help manage the effects of the PHN, things vary from day to day. This morning I was very weak and numb in my left arm and side of my face but tonight I am feeling a lot better. Take each day as it comes!

Thanks for taking an interest in how I am getting on and most of all thank you all for your continued thoughts and prayers.
