I have no idea how you got the green but I really like it. I think you're right about the lens flare.

No actually your comments are very helpful. I agree about the second one, I have a number of others of that same shot, but this one had the colors I liked so I chose it to ask for comments. I had that exposure bracketing on so I'm going to go through and see if there are others with the right amount of darkness, but not so it obliterates the silhouette effect.
And the blue dots I do see, I think it may be light flares. I really wish I knew how this thing ended up green, its bizarre but I like it, something must have hit my camera's sensors wonky.

Hi LL. I love the first image. That green sky looks awesome. I'm seeing a few blue dots...? Do you see them? They are on the right hand side of the pic in the middle. I have no idea what they are or what they were caused by.
The second image is nice but I don't like it as well as the first. It doesn't have the bright colors or the good silhouetting (is that a word?) the first does. It's between the day and silhouette look - you can still see the grass. I have pictures like that too and it bugs me so I up the contrast. That's just a personal thing, though, please don't be offended. I love silhouettes and think I would like second pic better if the ground were cropped off the bottom and if the trees were a little less full so more of the sunset/light was shining through.
Eek, I feel like I've totally blasted you. I have a hard time giving criticizing (even if constructive) when there's a name right next to the picture. It's much easier in contests when everyone is still anonymous. :-)
Anyway, I hope this was helpful.

Well,
I spent a good 5 hours up at Powell Butte Park yesterday and got some not so great shots, and some decent ones. Here are 2 out of the 629 I took that I'd appreciate critique/comments on if you all have the inclination. I don't believe I did anything to either of these ones, other than save them under a new file name. No editing that I can recall.
