Yeah I have been looking at that. It supports the 70-200 beast! I am sold.

I saw one in a store yesterday. I wonder is it as sturdy as they say it is, that is, does it prevent wobbling and movement? Sure would beat carrying a tripod around (and packing it in a suitcase for vacations).

Why can I imagine people running around with one of these attached to their heads?

Then I think you'll also need one of these.

I saw an article about them in the newspaper a few weeks ago and thought I'd really like one. I just wonder whether the shops here will get them because I'm not too keen to buy online. Our postal service is far too unreliable.

"I'm so attached to my camera" has just got a new meaning altogether!

i have one for a p&s, and it's nice, but just as a replacement for a tabletop tripod.

I got mine at Best Buy for $20! I felt it was a steal! The one I have IS the cheap one, though, but it's really sturdy and steady - AND it fits on my head.... If you're looking at a picture of one, the grey bits on each of the ball thingies are little grippy rubber things to prevent slipping. One of the best things I've found is that you aren't restricted to a perfectly horizontal shot using it as a tripod because it can be maneuvered to sit at many angles.

I only have the P&S one because I only have a P&S... but when/if I get a DSLR, I'll be getting the DSLR weighted one.

I have pictures of it, but I don't have a card reader and my camera is being fixed. :(

Feeling a little under the weather today, but still needed a picture for my photo-a-day thingy... here's one for ya! Gorillapod on My Head with Camera

PS - Unfortunately, because I said it fits on my head, I AM in my own picture. That makes me a little sad, so I got a little goofy.
