My wishes:
A pair of flat heel leather boots, like riding boots. I love boots and the pair I want is over $300.00

If not a pair of riding boots, then a pair of lightweight hiking boots.

Some gloves that I don't lose so I can have them for next year.

A ribbon would be nice (lol)

Snow on Christmas. Actually an out and out blizzard would just make it perfect, complete with no electricity and candlelight and eating cold soup from a can. (We have a generator, so needless to say I get a real charge when we are the only ones in the entire town with lights.)

A few slave units for my studio attempts at photography.

Socks that match.

I can send you a postcard from South Africa if you PM me your postal address. Just let me know if you want something scenic, with wildlife, or with people. I saw some nice ones today with a collage of different stuff on them, but thought I'd wait to find out what you prefer before buying one.

I think I have nearly everything I could wish for. With exception to some seriously expensive things like yachts and mansions on the hill enzo's and trips to exotic places.

The things I need are

more time to do the things I really need to get done.

and

a slightly bigger house would probably make our lives a bit easier.

Okay, subject to change (it's not even Thanksgiving yet, Christmas spirit isn't supposed to start until Friday!)

1. studio backdrops - any kind (and...umm...a stand to hang them on)
2. a light tent - any size. Painting my photo room red was really stupid.
3. lensbaby - for Canon
4. cable release for 20d
5. craft materials/fabric/yarn - collections of leftovers, miscellaneous, scraps, anything to add to my crafting stash. Likewise with crafty tools. (Not human kind of tool, please.)
6. fisheye lens - canon compatible
7. lightmeter
8. long, entertaining emails from witty individuals sent to me during cst work hours
9. essential oils - those are fun, right?
10. some photo/lighting skillllzzzz and/or someone local who shoots in a photojournalistic style who will let me shadow them.

Trying to answer four of mk's wishes in one go

another example

I have an 'old' motherboard that I'm not using that you are welcome to, if that would be a start. I need to check what it is - can't remember off hand.

Thank you Gordon .. Hubby and I both have fully functional pcs that we get after replacing with new computers on jobs we've done. We just need to know what Bear's current specs are to be sure we can get him something better than he's got. I've got 5 pcs (3 are eMachines though ugh) but the other 2 could be good potentials.

Why don't you try to organise #3, and you might find #1, who can lend you #2 which will lead to #4 ?

So all you need to do is step up to sort out the GTG :)

Also try the library for books. Tons, for free. Search the catalog, get an inter-library loan. Borrow loads of expensive, big photography books that you'd never buy and look at great photography. Best source of cheap photography books you'll ever find. And free!
