Want to grant a holiday wish?? It's easy!

1. Your reply should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon/graphic that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD" or "I'd love to have a 8x10 print of ____.") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

2.If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

To grant a wish, message the person and get their info... and mail them their gift.

Once one of your wishes is granted... please edit your original post and cross it out or delete it. If it is for more than one item... (I would like funky socks!) you can keep it to get as many pairs as you would like!

Now.... what can we do for you??

SC, if this is a problem... please feel free to delete it. I just thought it would be nice to help eachother out and do something nice. :)

*edit to change to 10 wishes - I thought 5 would be enough... but since others did 10 last year.... we won't change it up for this year. So 10 it is. Now I have to revamp mine. :)*

Just for reference, here's the thread from last year. It was fun and lots of wishes were fulfilled! I'll have to work on my list. :)

Here are my wishes:
1. Coloring books... I love to color. Esp when I am stressed out. It's very relaxing.

2. Hard Rock Cafe pins from all over the world. I collect these and I would love to add more to my collection.

3. Any old blankets, sheets, or any new pet item (cat or dog). For Christmas, I am delivering a care package to the local Animal Rescue League so the poor homeless pets have something special for the holidays. I am very active with my local ARL. I raise about $1000 for them every year by doing pet portraits during the "Dog Days of Summer". I sit outside in the sweltering heat for 2 days, 7 hours at a time, and take pictures of people pets. I then donate all the money back to the ARL. This will be the first Christmas that I will be spreading holiday joy to the homeless babies.

4. SOCKS! I just realized that all of my funky socks have holes in them.... and I love funky socks! I have to get more to last me through the winter..... IF you could help....I take a ladies standard size. No toe socks please... my piggies are tiny and never fit in them right! lol

5. 70-300 2.8mm lens for Nikon

6. Funky Retro/Vintage furniture for photography props. I'm looking for retro chairs, funky chairs, a chaise lounge or anything off the wall - for kids or adults. Since I am a new business, I have spent all my money for cameras, backdrops, lighting etc etc.... I really don't have the funds left for cool props! If you have anything... that would be groovy! I know this is a long shot... but hey. You never know!?

7. I would love the 8x12 print of
Idealy, on metallic paper... but matte would do! :)
- Thanks elsapo!!!!!

8. Help editing wedding pictures. I took on too many this year and I have 3 to edit by next weekend for Xmas orders. :( - Thanks to Sher!!!

9. Anything with Harley Quinn or anything Tigger! I LOVE Harley Quinn! and Tigger!

10. My website to be finished (I bought a flash template.. I just don't know how to do it!)

*edited to fix a wish*

Okay, subject to change (it's not even Thanksgiving yet, Christmas spirit isn't supposed to start until Friday!)

1. studio backdrops - any kind (and...umm...a stand to hang them on)
2. a light tent - any size. Painting my photo room red was really stupid.
3. lensbaby - for Canon
4. cable release for 20d
5. craft materials/fabric/yarn - collections of leftovers, miscellaneous, scraps, anything to add to my crafting stash. Likewise with crafty tools. (Not human kind of tool, please.)
6. fisheye lens - canon compatible
7. lightmeter
8. long, entertaining emails from witty individuals sent to me during cst work hours
9. essential oils - those are fun, right?
10. some photo/lighting skillllzzzz and/or someone local who shoots in a photojournalistic style who will let me shadow them.

Yes! I bought some when I was in Washington last week and I loved them. I looked all around here but I don't think they are available in Newfoundland.

I have one I don't use anymore! Sent me your adress & stuff, I'll send it to you.

edit: I checked, I even still have the small box where it was in. It's the RS-60E3. It's simple, but effective.

edit2: Sorry Karen, I didn't see your wish for a remote control..

1) A certificate for an acre of rainforest or other endangered habitat purchased by the charity for conservation purposes ... I'm collecting gift certificates by asking friends and family to buy them for me for birthdays and other gift occasions...
//www.worldlandtrust.org/

2) A 10x8 print (or nearest for their ratio) of any of the following wonderful images:

3) I collect eggcups - I have hundreds... these days I'm restricting myself to only a few themes... kitch 60s/70s eggcups especially in greens, oranges, browns; wildlife animals (not pets or animals dressed in human clothes but proper wild animals looking like animals) and lastly, erotica eggcups - I have one of a nude nurse with moving boobies and a male female pair from navel to mid thigh wearing pretty underwear but have failed to win auctions on a nude male torso eggcup complete with genitals and a couple of others too! I'll try and take photos of what I already have to help give an idea...

4) A good quality 58mm thread circular polarising filter (I've broken a couple over the last year plus with our latest camera/ lens purchases we seem to have more lenses with 58mm threads.

Will have a think and add more later...

Hope I'm able to help fulfill some too!

ok here goes :)
1. Any size print of Librodo's Three Hmong Dolls (that photo always makes me smile)
2. A canon 100mm, Sigma 105mm or a Canon 85mm 1.8. Any of them would be wonderful.
3. A container load ;p of Lindt extra creamy milk chocolate.
4. Live DVD of Chris Isaak in concert.
5. A UV filter for my Tamron 28-75
6. To be debt free and be able to buy my kids what they would really like.

Will come back for 7,8 and 9 after some thought

I'm going to keep mine to things that are realistic.

1. Postcards sent from outside of North America. Sent from Italy with messages written in Italian are the most desirable. - fulfilled by several people plus the postcard trading thread, so I'm good here.

2. I'll join nsoroma79's quest for socks. Socks are always good. - fulfilled by Jutilda

3. ViewMaster reels, whether old or new.

4. A delivery from Dinkel's Bakery in Chicago. - to be fulfilled by someone whose name is slipping my mind right now since it's on my computer at home in Colorado

5. A cookbook stand.

6. A St. Louis Cardinal's t-shirt. - inadvertently fulfilled today by my sister

7. Children's books and/or coloring books in Spanish or Italian.

8. 2+GB Compact Flash card. - fulfilled by MattO

9. The secret to an authentic napolitano pizza crust. It's probably best if you're from Napoli and you're willing to share your nonna's famous orgasm-inducing pizza crust recipe, for example.

10+: Anything from my Amazon wishlist.

Additional Edit: Thanks everyone! I love this community.

Ditto... send address please! Do you want a generic London postcard or my postcard with my Tomboy lion cub photo on it?
