Sigma 20mm f1.8 or Canon 20mm f2.8 USM?
is the extra stop worth the USM? also Canon is 20% lighter...
though choice, help me :)

you can get a $600 rebate if you buy a 5d and the 20mm canon before Jan 1.

I'm no expert, but I would assume it depends on what you're using it for. I would think that if you're primarily shooting wildlife and/or landscapes, then the USM would be the way to go simply because you will most likely not need the extra stop, you may want the USM and lighter lens because you'll be lugging it around and using it outdoors.

On the flip side, if you want to use it for portraiture and/or sports, you may want the extra speed vs. the USM.

Just my opinion (I really have no idea what I'm talking about).

Photozone says the image quality on the sigma pretty much sucks until you get up over 2.8 anyway, so what good is 1.8 if the images aren't usable.

I wish there were more choices at this length and f/2-ish
