i have some students that have hired me to do their theater headshots, and i need a good place to print mass 8x10 prints, that aren't extremely expensive. i heard lithographs are the way to go. i could be wrong.

anyone with experience in this field is asked to give their comments/suggestions, and where i should get prints done. i have a lab that does my normal prints, but i seriously doubt these students will want to pay $$$$$$ for 100+ prints each.

Thanks so much.

May be the cheapest, but I'm not sure of the quality of print/paper.

Here's one link I found. Seems pretty reasonable.

My brother knows about this stuff -- he works down in Southern California. Let me try and get some referrals ...

Do you want Black & White or color, and 8x10 or 8-1/2x11?

100, 250 or 500?

OK -- I might not hear from him until tonight.

How "rush" is this -- shipping across country may cost more than just looking up a local commercial printshop?

Or, if you have Costco where you are, you can get an 8x10 for about $1.49, and I think you get a further discount for 100 at one time. Same for color or B&W.

Heck, I guess if you aren't a member, I could bid the job myself at that price (plus tax/shipping) ... : )

At the print shop where I work (expensive N. California), 100 glossy B&W printed by offset would be about $250 plus tax/shipping ... : (

It should be cheaper at a place which specializes in that type of stuff, but I can't guess how much.
