Well, some of my other hobbies have fallen a bit by the wayside....but I play piano, flute, guitar, and saxophone. Used to be involved in choir too--but there aren't really any good community choirs since I left college.

I also do crochet, calligraphy, and draw mandalas. And, just to come clean with how big a geek I am--I play D&D type adventures with my friends...as well as a live action roleplay game.

I like to read literature. Not the New York Times Bestseller List - that tends to be badly written pop culture fluff. I'm talking about the kind of books that you hated in high school, or they win Nobel Prizes for Literature or National Book Awards. Four years of English classes at the university turned me into a total book snob.

tennis, and bass guitar... gotta stay in shape for those long photography related hikes, and the bass helps give the shutter finger endurance :)

Like muckpond, remodeling seems to be something I'm always doing. We started a kitchen remodel in May, 2006 which grew to include four rooms and a foyer. Here's the kitchen portion, at least through August:

In addition to remodeling, I am a diehard motorcyclist, putting on between 13,000 and 23,000 miles per year - Mostly commutes, unfortunately. I try to read a book a month. My taste in reading varies widely. I share the astronomy bug with Strangeghost and sincer we're almost neighbors we get together periodically to observe (sorry I missed out last night John!).
This list could go on for quite a while, but I really do have to finish putting that bath back together this weekend!

I work on my house, it's old and needs TLC. Last summer I built a new garage with shop space so I could do more. OK, we neded a place to park the cars since the old garage was falling down and the squirrels (and who knows what else) had taken it over. We also redid the kitchen a couple of years ago.

I'm also into astronomy, but I only have one small telescope (80mm Stellarvue) and a pair of binoculars.

Wow, that is amazing...looks like a whole different house. Terrific job.

I love motorcycles also as a hobby.

I enjoy long walks on the beach, quiet dinners, romantic movies ... oh wait that's not hobbies... just part of a bigger scheme.

Let's see: I enjoy tinkering with electronics and robotics (although I haven't been doing much of it lately), playing bass and guitar and singing, I enjoy playing around with computer programming and I date quite a bit.

Forgot to mention that I'm addicted to Mysapce.

I'm almost certain that DPC has become a non-photographic hobby at this point. :/

uuuhm let's see.

- I like to play Settlers of Catan (if I'm right about the name of the game in English) with friends
- I like to read all kinds of stuff, magazines and books
- I like to go out biking with hubby or with iPod
- Sometimes I like to write something down (poetry or a short story, sometimes 18+)

I coach a Ladies American Football team here in Münster Germany called the Münster Mammuts. Yes, they play American football in Europe too, there is even a European NFL :) Nasti took some photos of my girls during training a few weeks ago here.

Next season azrifel is going to streak naked across the playing field. He'll do anything for a good photo (or even for just a beer) :)

I'm a dabbler; I'll try just about anything that catches my interest but I'm not rabid about anything (except the update button, apparently).
I like camping, fishing, geocaching and nature walks. I read two or three books a week, I hate cooking but can decorate a cake.
I can massacre a tune on the guitar or piano and have at least tried most of the crafts that don't cost a fortune. (Anyone want a record bowl or a teeshirt stenciled with a dpc ribbon? ;))
But the one hobby I've learned a bit about and always wanted to do more, I'll finally have my chance. I've just inherited quite a few thousand dollars worth of leatherworking equipment, hides, patterns, etc. Hubby's expressed interest in learning too, so I can teach him what I know and we can learn the rest together, hopefully :D

AAArrrrggghhh!! Not Settlers of Catan! I swear, that game haunts me. My friends and my husband just love it. I really don't care for it, so have only played three times. I won all three times, which only further fuels my husband's desire to keep playing...he always seems to come in second.

Chearleading... I'm on an all star team and we do one to two competitions a year. This year I'll be in Toronto for December 2nd and Las Vegas for February 11th. If I still have free time after that, I'm a hiker/camper - love the outdoors.
