Hello everyone,
Well it seems I only post here when I'm looking for advice from the gurus, sorry! Heres my latest problem. I'm putting together several fashion books with varied and contrasting themes - and as part of this I'm looking to do more location work. I'm mainly a studio-bound photographer so I find it a little daunting venturing to the big outdoors.
I basically don't know where to begin. I've located several run down buildings which would be ideal for shooting in - Health & Safety permitting of course. Where do I go from here? I'm presuming I'll need to find if the building is abandoned or owned and get permission from the owner if possible. How do I go about this? Is it strictly necessary since the photos aren't for commercial use, only my portfolio and that of the model? I'm UK based and really struggling to find any info to help me, hence the reason I've brought my troubles to the experts at DPC!
Literally any info will be helpful to me.. as I said, I'm UK based but don't let that stop you posting.. what are the rules and regs? Any links or just general advice is warmly welcomed :)
Also, I might be planning a shoot in the next couple of months in and around a city at night.. again, I dunno where to start here! Do I need permission from the local Council or something? Dunno if anyone can help me with this one..

| The local land titles office would be a place to start to determine ownership and who to contact for permission. |
