Both cards are taped to wooden dowels, secured by a vice grip...

Using a toothbrush, I applied 91% rubbing alcohol to the face of the cards...

Black Cloth backdrop (doesn't mix too well with fire) and a flash, bounced off the ceiling.

-1/13th of a sec @ f/4.5, ISO 100-

show RAW

*don't forget to light the alcohol ;)

Well done. I might use something flame proof that is black, like glass painted black and try a few variations on this. Maybe add a hair dryer to blow the flames around a little more. Maybe on April 15, show some money on fire, with a form 1040 in the background...hahaha

I'dve used 2 different suited 10's. But, good shot anyway.

I agree with MrEd about 2 different suits. But I still think it's a fantastic shot. I wouldn't have the courage to try something like this myself, so I'm really envious of your accomplishment.

There goes a perfectly good blackjack hand (20).

10-10's my birthday and 10 has always been my lucky number. ;(
I just turned 55...and I'm not too happy about it...so a pair of 5's would be a much better choice as far as I'm concerned.

Nice capture, btw.

thank you all....

i showed my dad the shot, he liked it, but he then scolded me for almost burning my house down.

17-year-olds like fire, what can i say?
