I'm not sure if I am posting this on the right section of the forums or not, so please bear with me. I have question as a new member here. When we submit a photo into a contest there is a Details field we can all read after the contest is over but not while voting is going on. Is this so the information is not influencing the voting in any way?

Right ... it's to make sure you don't understand the photographer's intentions, thought processes, or intentional technical modifications (if any); so you can comment "blurry" instead of "your soft-focus effect doesn't work for me."
