I just bought the R2400 printer (used) and was looking for any recommendations on which other-than-Epson inks you may have had experience with? Atlanticinkjet has good prices (5.49 each) and a local photographer says he uses them, but I am looking for more opinions on other online places to get inks?
For paper, I think I will go with the glossy or lustre - any suggestions there?

If you've got a 2400 I would stick with the epson k3 inks that its made for. I think you will find that the extra you spend will be worth it. Seeing as you've bought this printer you want the best quality, you will get that with epson inks.

Thanks cryan. I found a whole set of 9 for $103, so I got those and epson luster paper from Buy.com.
I just hope I don't mess up the printing and waste all that ink and paper! :)

Definitely use the Epson inks.

I've been sticking with Epson inks.

Paper depends on where the prints are going. For portfolios, I use glossy (sheets). For display, I use luster (roll).

Don't have an Epson 2400, but I know that Pantone has started producing inks for Epsons, and I've heard good things about both the price and color.

Probably going to have to calibrate after switching, however.

I have the printer and only use the epson inks and paper. For the paper I use premium luster.

I buy my paper and inks (all Epson) on //www.atlex.com. Their ink ($11.20) and paper (13"x38.5' luster roll - $43.71) prices are good and so is their service.

I only use Epson paper/ink combos, as they are optimized for color fidelity as well as archivability.

I have the R2400's little brother the R1800 and I will only use epson inks. The paper however I play with my fav being the Epson Ultra Premium Glossy Photo Paper. You have a fine printer enjoy!
