That's three of us who have reported in.
And we will also have a chance to score high in Neon or Reflections.

But we're facing Team Underexposed who won the title in WPL I.

Nevertheless, let the games begin!

Make that four. Well....not yet, but I'll have my image in by the time rollover rolls around. I'm getting ready to go out and shoot it now. I'm sitting with a 6.0, 6.9, and 6.5 in the three challenges I'm in right now....so hopefully I can keep that streak going.

I got my long exposure photo in about an hour before it was due. It's so funny. I take a ton of long exposures, yet I had trouble coming up with anything this time. I guess that's because usually I use long exposures when I think it's necessary (or just fun) when I have photo assignments for my college newspaper.

Anyway, it was one of those days. I took the photos, which turned out a lot different then I expected. And of course I had to edited them and was trying to hurry to get to a meeting, and my computer wasn't cooperating! My scratch disk was full or whatever...I have WAY too many photos on this computer...So I had to free up a bunch of space, and wound up being a little late to my meeting...

Stressful, but it's in!

I'm hoping it will do well. My other two aren't doing so well right now. 4.9 and 4.75...ouch...they're both my all time worse.

Edit: Changed "thing" to "computer"

Lisa, you're probably gonna do just fine! Your portfolio long exposure shots are just grand. Glad you made it with all the obstacles in your path today.

I'm not in "Long Exposure" but have a picture ready for "Reflections" - and will try to get one for "Neon Signs" tonight and see which one turns out best...

Yeah .... a even a 0.1 is better than no submission right??? :]
EDIT: To be sure that this isn't misinterpretted ... even a 1.2 score is better than nothing?? Is that true or not ...

anyone???

EDIT AGAIN:

I just read the rules - looks like we'll be OK!!!
12

The Team Average each week will be the top four scores from the week (one per photographer) divided by four. If a team has less than four entries or one or more of the four entries is DQ’ed, the team average will still be divisible by four.

Yeah, so as long as we have four, we'll be fine. The tracking number says my camera will be delivered Tuesday - so it could be a really close call. If it makes it, I'll try to get one in. Honestly, though, I'd sooner not enter than submit crappy shots. =)

Cheers,

Sometimes I submit crappy shots unknowingly :P

Looks as if we have a total of 14 chances to get 4 nice high scores for the game.

Wouldn't it be super if we could beat "Underexposed"!!!

Oh, yes. How we doing on the Logo?

Still waiting for suggestions...

By the way, how are your scores?

Mine is a bit lower than your average for the moment. These voters have twisted minds. :))

...and I've been out tonight and after some discussions with myself and with my wife I chose to submit to "Neon Signs" - hopefully the right decision.

Well....does anyone have a logo made up they want to post on here?

I like most of the ones that have been made so far....I'll work on a couple of more right now before I have to go to work and you guys can take a stab at some more tonight if you wish, then you should put them up on your site in a poll and we can vote on all of them.

Oh....by the way, my long exposure score is bombing. Like 4.2 bombing.

Ugh...I knew I should of just entered the reflections challenge (which I should do better in....by a lot.)

A tad disappointed in my Long Exposure also: 5.54 right now ... that topic eludes me.

Anyway, I put together a logo

"SUNRISE"

Eveyone else please let me know what you have and we can post a poll (I'll try to do the poll tonight or tomorrow morning).

One I just finished.....working on another right now.

OK - here's an idea ...
please NAME your logos too -this will allow for smoother voting ...
There also might be the issue that if someone loves a logo but thinks it could use some alterations it would be perfect. We can take care of that here, I suppose!

OOOHHH, I called mine "SUNRISE" ... yeah baby!

My long exposure photo isn't doing so well either. 4.79 as of right now. It's kind of funny. Wow, it's funny how it seems like each of my submissions just keeps scoring lower and lower! I'm going to submit either a reflection or neon sign. I have all day tommorow to figure it out. I have no class! yay!

OK ... You may have to create a user name / password so hopefully that's not too much trouble. Please just pick your favorite and keep in mind any adjustment you'd like to see (if any) to your selection.

Logo Poll

FYI when viewing vote results (after you vote) Because I was running a test, there is already 1 vote from me that is not a real vote ... Since i am an idiot, I cannot change it - FYI.

This certainly is a good collection of logos. Any of them would work. Thanks for setting up the poll, t8.

Now, I guess it's time to toddle down to my friendly neighborhood polling place and vote as well.

P.S. I think I just read in another thread that today is your birthday, Silverscreen!
If I read it right, well: Happy Birthday! Great way to start our WPL season.

I like E and F best - I'm not a huge fan of the army-esque font of A, D, G, and H. But like you say, it's not a critical decision.
