When I was working on the Exposed Challenge last night my foster kitty came to play, she is 6 weeks old, was abandoned at 4 weeks:

FYI, those lines do not appear accross my monitor and the color is way off!

the monitor actually flickers at somewhere between 60/second and 85/second. the line is there because your shutter speed and the monitor aren't in sync. it's difficult to photograph a monitor or television when it's on and there is a picture there. If you can see the monitor flicker or pulsate when your looking at it there is a way to change the flicker or refresh rate, by going to control panel, display, settings, advanced and monitor. This has been known to cause headaches and eye strain. Cute kitty by the way.

Thanks I often wondered about that and now I know! Hey, a science lesson! ;)

She is a cute kitty and if I had the money to get her fixed later she would stay, she's certainly becoming part of the family. This is one of about 25 shots I took with her, the only one that even came close to good: Itsy in the Tiny Laundry Basket
