Every challenge, on average I give out 1* score=1 and 1* score=2
I cannot believe the shots people are trying to shoehorn into this challenge.
I've never given out so many ones and twos:
Ones = 23
Twos = 6

Come on people, be creative meeting the challenge!
Don't cop out!!
There's more to a creative shot than a title that tries to make any picture relevant.
Unbelievable...

Yes, I'm seeing some real stretches of the topic as well. I also see a lot of blurry or out of focus shots. What's up with that? Anyhow, as always, there are 4 or 5 excellent representations of science.

PS The spelling errors in the titles are driving me nuts too. I'm not being too A.R. am I? Just seems a title is usually pretty important - it should at least be spelled correctly, don't you think???

Science Challenge:
Well, I just went through all of them and did my scoring. What a nightmare. I ended up having to rescore quite a few. With the sort I had, I didn't start seeing the "fantastic" ones for a while. Then I rethought some of them I'd scored earlier (usually raising the scores). I also made more comments this Challenge than I usually do.

Yeah, in my opinion, I think that 'science' is a bit of a definition hassle. Having worked in some form of pure science all my life, I did have a tendancy to score higher on "lab" sort of images. Those, to me, best represent the subject matter. This Challenge was great for the youngsters, in University, that have access to all the neat toys, I'm sure. Anyone who takes a camera into an Optics lab or a Physics lab and doesn't get a neat image isn't trying very hard !
BUT, I scored a lot of 10's on subjects that were not 'pure' science as well. Usually the title helped sway me.
Lots of really good technical photography this Challenge. Fun, though somewhat agonizing, at times, to score.
