I'd love to get some reactions on a couple photos I took today. I was playing around with light sources and their affect on some everyday items, and ended up with these two very different looks.

One a bit more abstract than the other but both are the same thing.

Distant Planet

and

Floating

Any good or just passably interesting crapola? Be honest. ;)

On a side note: Is there any special technique I can use to avoid reflections in the item I'm shooting, especially when getting up close?
