I did NOT take this image. I got this image through an email sent by a friend. The caption said ]"Digital camera for sale..."

I have no idea if it's real, but it sure does look like it. If it's a real photo I commend the author for having "cohones" of steel to take it and I wouldn't have wanted to be on the other side of the camera!

Have a good one.

Yeah! I would say his balls are bigger than the bulls. I am betting that it is real. Just looks like the bull was trying to stop and legs are slipping out from under him on the rock roadway. Like to see the after picture.

Disgusting the activities that humans resort to at times.

Here is my DP Challenge critique of this photo. Nice Capture, but he shouldn't have cut off the horn at the top of the picture or the leg on the right side. The piece of clothing stuck to he right horn is distracting as well as the people behind the rushing bull. The author should have taken the time to focus better. I think if he had stayed in there a little longer he could have had a nice macro of the foam spewing from the bulls nose. (Just kidding!) Great shot. I would die for one of these!!!

Tradition. Disgusting some of the things, yes. But, tradition. Like Christmas, or Thanksgiving and turkey. Mmmmmmm...thanksgiving turkey.

My DPC critique. This photo is amazing. The capture of the bulls expression really makes the shot. Exposure and composition are irrelevant here. You have captured the moment perfectly. I would not have changed a thing. 10. Jacko

I've seen that photo before it is from the Running of the Bulls and the photographer was on a golf cart sort of vehicle taking photos from a distance further than it appears.

Buying a used camera is always a risky business. I'd pass on this one, it's likely damaged.

Look at the snot on his nose! Way cool shot!

Ignore this edit. Just trying out my signature.

I guess you all find another creature's suffering and indignity humorous.

I do not find any humour in this shot, Oly. Yet I do think, it is a great shot, apparently and appropiately taken at some risk on part of the photographer, capturing precisely what you describe.

The shutter may have gone off as the camera hit the ground.

Grrrrrrrrrrrowl! This picture breaks my heart. I'd like to see this practice end. Also cock fights, dog fights, rodeos, and any other "event" causes pain and suffering for animals. This gets me so uptight, and haunts me. I can't get it out of my mind. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Effective? Yes, but at what cost?
Nothing against anyone in this thread, just these inhumane practices.

I remember clearly seeing this photo in the paper when this was taken, but I can't remember the photographer. I do know it's from the 'running of the bulls' festival in Pamplona, Spain. So if anyone feels like googling...

Anyhow, I remeber reading that the photographer was taking photos behind the cordon when that bull got out of control and started running wild...so rather than flling he pushed his camera out on the floor under the cordons and quickly took the shot. go him. :)

If it was being used to sell a few cameras, Yep I think that picture would do it! Cool!

I don't think this event is as bad as the ones you mentioned above. I believe they just run the bulls through the streets and don't hurt them. This bull just seemed to slip on the pavment. Bull fighting however where they stick the bulls with spears and eventually kill them is barberic and should be outlawed however. I'd agree with the other events you mentioned as being inhumane. The people that conduct those events (not so much rodeo) are defintely pond scum. :)

BTW, this is a great shot! Brave photographer.

Just to clue a few of you in, a photographer with a telephoto lens could capture this shot safely. It is a nice shot.

I asked Snopes.com about it, and this is their Response.
