i'm glad i was not the only one who was let down. i was also slightly disappointed that there wasn't more group action vs. sylar. when nikki picked up that parking meter i thought "oh, it's ON" and then she just went back to the sidelines after one hit. :(

Wow, I just caught up online, that was half huge let down, half OMG/WTF???

Partly I was hoping for all the ends to be tied up, but you have to imagine that would be pretty boring for next season.

I still can't fricking believe that they left Sylar alive. But I'm also intrigued by the one who Molly Walker is MORE afraid of than Sylar. Villians behind villians.

You're all right though, there needs to be a bit more to the action sequences next season, hopefully there'll be a few knock-down, drag-out fights between Peter and Sylar to come.

Was Sylar still alive? I thought he tried to throw Hiro into the building with his last breath and then died.
05/23/2007 02:14:11 AM · #231
nope.. hes alive... tht's what they wanted to convey when they showed the blood trail leading to the drain..
05/23/2007 02:20:33 AM · #232
I watched with enthusiasm believing in everything and went along with it. But now that it is over I am asking the same questions. Sylar is still alive? Why didn't Peter fly away himself. Are Peter and his Brother still alive, since they showed Nicki saying, "What happened to them". The fight was nothing. They need to get John Woo or Jackie Chan in there and choreograph a fight sequence. That would be so awesome. And Hiro is in the middle of an eclipse back in 1671?

ya it was kinda lame imo, for a last episode of the season is was quite boring. Sylar got taken down WAY too fast, should have had Hiro stop time and jump around trying to attack Sylar, finally landing a deadly blow or something. BTW if i was Hiro, i would have decapited Sylar on the spot.

Oh and im looking forward to seeing this "really bad man" that the little tracking girl was talking about, the one thats worse than Sylar. That should be cool

I want to know how, with all those other heroes around, did NO ONE see him escape?

Ugh I need spoilers for next season. The Petrelli bros. MUST come back.

I too was very disappointed in the finale. I was actually expecting a cliffhanger with Sylar about to go nuclear and Hiro plunging his sword just as he starts to supernova... and then credits. I was expecting it taking everyone together to stop him- since he had the most powers- not everyone watching. Everyone knew you had to destroy his brain to stop him- why not the sword in the head? The other one I expected was for the cheerleader to shoot him in the head instead of Peter like he told her to if he went up. "It's the only way to stop me- you have to do it!" We never saw Hiro fight the dragon as was shown in one of Isaac's paintings either. Both Syler vs Peter battles could have been epic since they had equal strengths but they were over quickly and easily too.

Having recently joined the Heros viewing audience, I can hardly keep the good guys and bad guys straight. It's more than mildly annoying. Who's writing this story, anyway - a 5 year old with severe ADD?

"And then, the cheerleader turns evil for no apparent reason"
"And then, the bad guy is a stay at home mom"
"And Heros come from all over the world"
"Oh, but all of the important ones are related"
"And we have a limited cast, so everybody in the future is played by any random person from now"

Gimme a break.

Ok, being a Sci-Fi fan since age 8, I just can't help but see a very strange similarity between the changes Mohinder is going through and the changes that Seth Brundle (Jeff Goldblum) went through in the 1986 installment of The Fly, (I know of 4 different Fly Movies) to include the super strength, the ability to climb walls like an insect, the rash started on his back whereas Seth Brundle had those strange hairs on is back. Wait till body parts start to fall off and I'll be suprised if Mohinder doesnt keep them in a Mason Jar in the Bathroom....If you know that version of The Fly I am sure you can see the similarities as well.

Other than that, I am hooked on the show...I haven't missed an episode since it first began. The only other show I was this dedicated to was 24.

I became a Heroes addict when I found I could watch it streaming from netflix while on the treadmill. I started with Season 1 a few months ago, and I'm almost caught up. Good thing, because biking season is almost here.

I think it's great. Sure, there are lots of character twists. It's basically a soap opera with action (like Lost, which I also like.) But I like the characters, even as flawed as they all are.

I hadn't seen this thread before, but I found it to tell any fans something "funny".

I just watched the trailer of the upcoming Star Trek movie, and saw someone familiar. I won't give it away, but see if you recognize him. (It won't be hard.)

I am a huge Sci Fi fan, but can't get into Heroes at all. The writing in the show is very blahhh! I am a big fan of Battlestar Galacatica right now, its a smarter show than Heroes. I tried watching Heroes and it was too shallow for me. But I'm a picky guy.

Zachary Quinto will be reprising the role of Spock inthe upcoming Trek film. He's a good pick I think. He should do well. I find that most fans of the show Heroes are not Sci Fi fans in general.

Well I am! And I love the Battlestar G. I missed a lot of episodes though, and ended up watching it discontinously. I hope they put it on Netflix instant soon; then I'll go through the whole series from the start again (while exercising!)

I've seen every one so far, 2hr series finale coming this Friday, I feel the show is due for a finale, it could only go so far.

Heroes started out very good, and it's sufferring now with some fans because it became convoluted. It's not that I mean it's 5th grd stuff, just not really sci fi. It shows you how people evolved into having super powers without explaining how, or why maybe? Maybe Im a bit irked that Heroes is so well known, when better shows with similar material haven't been lasting as many seasons. But then again, you could only go so far with a series, Trek TNG had a strong finale, but bad seasons 6 and 7.
