I was in a military surplus store recently and noticed that you could probably incorporate a lot of the belts/straps/vest/bags they sell there into your camera bags especially if its a slip lock type of system. I picked up a utility belt which takes the place of a lowepro belt for their slip lock system and saved about $25 So i was wondering if anybody uses this approach in their own gear.

I use carbiners for anything that can be strapped. Water bottle, filter wallet, monopod, etc.

not a bad idea, as a matter of fact with the belt and harness the Marines are using right now you have clip on places all over the place. It's kind of like suspenders with a belt. Wonder if I can find one of them and maybe a canteen holder to put lenses in...hummm...tons of ideas coming to mind right now. Thanks
