How about a challenge involving shooting a perfect anagram, where every letter of a word is rearranged to create another word of the same length. For example, my surname is 'Andrews', which is a perfect anagram of the word 'wanders'.

The shoot could be illustrating either one or or both words, with the original word and its anagram for the title.

sounds a bit complicat4ed and would no doubt involve voting on hundreds of melons and lemons....

Keep the lemons, bring on the melons.

hmm...you really think people would only shoot lemons/melons? Maybe go only for perfect anagrams involving proper names...what do you think?

Or maybe hugp? In your case we could make an exception...besides I wasn't thinking just our proper names, just any name period. IO have ideas for a mythological character for example.

No, I think the idea arose independently late last year ...

This was the only challenge suggestion thread I could find with this; is there some secret stash kept somewhere else? :-)

I believe it arose in the course of another discussion of which it was not the focus.

Out of curiosity, why do you find it important to know? It is not a site requirement for challenge topics to be first vetted by the usership in the forums ...

Nope, not a requirement, but it is generally done and is helpful in getting some overview or context / direction the theme is coming from. No big deal - just enter a pretty picture. :-) All good. Forget I even mentioned it ...

Or in setting limits on people's willingness to submit something not obviously considered mainstream.

I've been amazed for years how people are willing to discuss a topic to death before the challenge to establish what topics/interpretations are "OK" while almost never discussing the photos once the actual results are known ...
