I received an email today from a site art-exchange.com! I was wondering if anyone has had any contact or dealings with them and what your opinion might be! Seems like a way to sells prints, but not real sure about providing photos to them without some input! Thanks in advance!

I got the email too. Titled LOVE YOUR WORK. I deleted it. Mainly for the fact that it was impersonal and I felt that it was probably sent to millions of people.

I've received that email about three times now - so have many at the EBSQ website. They charge a 10% commission, which isn't bad, but basically all they are, are an escrow service with some advertisement on top. At least that's what it looks like to me - I could be interpreting it wrong.

From a look at their website, their main function is some advertisement and then if a deal is made, it is between you and the buyer. You ship your item to art-exchange, the buyer pays art-exchange, art-exchange ships your item to the buyer, and if they don't return it and everything is hunky-dory, then they pay you, less their commission.

Besides that, you have to pay between $375.00 for 15 listings and $875.00 for 50 listings to have your work shown.

Sounds spendy to me, but might be worth it to someone else.

Considering

"We average over 23,000 unique visitors to our Gallery
everyday."

it's rather strange Google can find only 36 links to their website.. Unlike DPCPrints, which has 323, and DPChallenge, which has 345.

This seems like a VERY good deal for Art-Exchange.. They get $375 for doing practically nothing, whether they sell prints or not.

I got it too... someone has been through here collecting email addresses... probably a good idea to make your email address invisible on this site.

I used to trust my parents. They got hooked up to the Innanet, and now I don't trust them.

Nope. It's not worth it to anyone. It's a scam.
