We all had a lot of fun.

Pictures to follow. For me, only about 3500 to sort through. They may have to wait until after the October free study.

One of the highlights was seeing a cheetah take down a gazelle. Man do they move fast.

I had such a great time that I almost hate coming back to the 1st World. They people there are really down to earth.

In the 24 hours I've been back I've been noticing the differences between here and Kenya. Can't I combine the best of both worlds? ;)

When I posted I forgot that Lynn ( ellamay) is still in Kenya until the end of this week. She is doing an extension for Tsavo and Mombasa.

From Amboselie we parted company, the main group heading back to Nairobi and Lynn, her mother and one other person continuing with the extention.

Their trip from Amboselie to Tsavo was in a convoy complete with armed guards. In the past that road has been plagued with bandits.

Well now, that's very reassuring information you leave me here, Colette... ;-/

Not to worry Hans.

Apparently, the guards are for a deterent and the last attack was 10 years ago. (Wahome - their driver gave this statistic)

--- sorry for any worry caused by my last post.

Here are two images I have ready which are part of my 30DaySP Project. I'm linking to them due to the graphic nature of them if you don't want to see dead things don't click. ;)

hehe Yup, but it wasn't MY breakfast!

Back story note: 4 of us went on a Balloon Safari (Nick, Collette, myself and another woman). After the Balloon ride they give you breakfast in the Bush. The Wildebeast in the photo was 20 yards or so from where we had breakfast and were visited by swarms of bees who all enjoyed our Marmalade (I have macros!), OJ (I played bee lifegaurd for a short time), and Mimosas.

I'm still working on getting things in order so that I can archive them to DVD before I clear out the Epson! WHERE ARE YOUR IMAGES? hehe

I'm still sorting out which one to enter for the freestudy. As soon as I find one to enter I find another that has potential. This could take a while. So far I've narrowed it down to 30 but haven't gone through all my images yet.
