And Falc, you're a dear for actually hitting the submit button on yours. :-)

This is the most unartful image I've ever seen.
Were you drunk?
Blurred, bad lighting, oh, and her butt is fat.
I like your title, but your image sucks.
Please please go away - I may never be the same after looking at this.

Definitely couldn't really use these but I can't resist when its just for fun:

No.

F-

I call do over.

To save time I'll comment on what I think went right with this image: ...

I love the border but everything inside it needs work.

This again?

Right. Now go stand in the corner and think about what you've done.

I bet you're going to complain that no one appreciates out of the box thinking when the challenge is over, aren't you?

I'll pretend that you meant for the photo to look like this, and you can pretend I voted it higher than a 3.

Hahahahahahaha.. oh.. you're serious..

Heh, this is a fun thread. Almost theraputic. ;)

Oh yuk - looking at this is actually going to leave a mark!

Why, exactly, am I being asked to look at this?

Oh, god! Not another __________________ (insert photo-cliche of the week).

I've seen photos with commentors using a variation of this: "First let me say what was good about this..."

No, seriously, you gave me one in a current challenge that *so* goes here, and really is appropriate to my shot. I'll paraphrase to preserve anonymity on my shot from everyone else (though you'll now know which one it is):

Ahh yes the __________. Its an approach many people have taken.... In all but one or two cases the technique hasn't really worked.

Definitely marked it as "helpful" and have to say it's one that can be applied liberally and often. :-)

lol, Judy... after seeing the loads of beautiful comments you give out to everybody (much appreciated btw), it's hard to believe there's a more sinister side to you. :-)

1) WTF?
2) 17 layers of Neat Image would have been enough.
3) I've never seen grass that color before.
4) Are her eyes Radioactive?
5) This doesn't even look like a picture anymore - did you mean to do that?

What do you mean never had the guts to hit submit? I've had all these comments, and probably most of the one's that have been listed, plus worse. ;P

I've definitely had the 'radioactive eyes' one before. :D

I don't have any comments I haven't had the guts to give, cause.. umm..

I've given them

1)I'd like to buy an airline ticket, travel to your home and kick you in the butt for this shot.
2)Now this is what I call a creative use of DOF
3)People have been lined up and shot for less than this.
4)How I wish I could give you a 10, a -10.
5)Were you stoned?
6)I really hope you win a ribbon with this shot, it'll give so much hope to all the other crappy shots in this challenge.
7)Hope you're feeling better
8)How I hope this was a joke
9)I didn't know chimps could use a camera
10)Did you really mean to enter this shot

All the rest have been close to what I think from time to time.

My favorite comment that I DO give:

This photo needs a lot of cropping done on it but my spelling sucks and I think it's spelled with an "A"

One more....

Hmmmm, this reminds me of something, something I saw while walking my dog....oh yes....

I'll leave the rest to your imagination

An actual comment I have received:

1. Haven't I seen a forum thread about this shot?
2. Ya know, Neat Image does have settings below 500%.
3. There's artistic blur and there's just bad photography - next time use a tripod.
4. Every kid is cute to his/her family - unfortunately, we're not related.
5. If the world was really tilted like that, we'd all fall off.

Don, we're putting in comments we don't actually add.... :-)

From my post in another thread, for instance:
"You could sell your camera on eBay and come out way ahead in this game."

Of course, I often think of doing just that, but I'd hate to deprive all you people of the opportunity to think up these gems of non-comments! :-)
