Just finished my 1st voting round. I've never seen so many entries in a challenge that were so poorly focused. Most often the background or foreground were the focus point and the intended subject was soft. Lighting seemed to be a problem in a good number as well.
With the low number of entries I'll be going through them a couple of times more before Tuesday with new eyes but I'm disappointed overall. I think this is going to be a low scoring challenge.
Or it could just be me......

It's not just you. I've been cutting slack because some of the photos are quite funny and creative. But yeah. |

edit: now with 8 comments I'm getting nervous..The border is getting a bit of flak here..Okay.. practically everyone hates it.. I'm beginning to believe instead of a simple line they're seeing spakly purple dancing stars framing the pic..I'm concerned that one black line is bringing the votes down a point or two...ugh!

Up from 4.8 a day ago so I won't complain - Maybe it will even climb some more. Also, I just got my first (since joining) quite negative(and not what I feel is a very fair)comment. I know, shrugging it off - next!

Aaaaagh! I'm being trolled.
After slowly creeping up toward a 5 all day long my last 4 scores have been, 3,1,4,4. A solid 3 average.
BTW, (rant warning) how can someone give a 1 to a photo that meets the challenge? There is indeed a rubber duckie in my pic. Though not the most exciting photo, I'll admit, it is NOT a 1.
This drives me crazy.
