Sometimes that all I've got. Laugh about it (in reference to my entry ) else it's like watching a slow motion train wreck.

Fallen from 4.5 to 4.17, please oh please don't let it go below 4.1 (as if that's not embarrassing enough).

Hopefully enough to make the top 25% - one of my top 5 :)

Can someone explain to me how entries that showed nothing in regards to beer or softdrinks in their pictures made the top 50? And then there are some that you can't see the product name what-so-ever that also placed in that range. Heck, looking at beverage advertisements, even Absolut (vodka), that has a recognizable shape still has to throw their name on the page so you know for sure who the ad is for. At what point does DNMC get tossed out the window and voted purely on photographic quality?

Isn't that why they offer free study challenges?

"Use your creativity and your photographic skills to sell a beer or soft drink to the voters.

For the record...mine got a lot of DNMC comments..and my entry DID NOT have a beer or softdrink in it....for a reason! If you read the OP of this thread you may understand.

A DNMC entry!

I see the angle you are coming from and it is a very nice picture. I don't feel though (solely my opinion) that it would have impacted ME in any way as a 'US' beer drinker to want to buy the product. I guess I'm looking for visual satisfaction of or with the product. So, my initial reaction would be the DNMC and even after explantation, it did not meet the goal of the challenge, as I perceive its interpretation. If there were a number of DNMC comments, then perhaps a number of people interpreted it in the same fashion I did. Of course that does not make one right or wrong but certainly influences the way one votes. Guess that's why everyone gets a vote and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

As I stated below, there are some great pictures, but IMO, they just didn't meet the challenge.
