I've seen a lot of bands in concerts. I don't know where to start, but I think there are three "music experiences" i enjoyed the most and worth a special mention.

- First The Clash. Back in 1986.
- Then Bruce Springsteen. They don't call him boss for nothing.
- And last but not least Pearl Jam. I saw them last week, here in Athens. It was the last concert of their European tour. Oh my god, what a night! Two and a half hours of an amazing music experience.
Next week they'll be in Australia. See them i you can. Definitely worth it.

It seems everyone is afraid that they might forget somebody on the way, well...I don't have that problem :( I've only been to one concert, this year on my birthday: Depeche Mode.

That's all folks!

Not a lot....not many artists come to Newfoundland.

-Chris de Burgh (The Box opened for them)
-Bare Naked Ladies (back in the early 90's before they were big in the US)
-Great Big Sea (Jimmy Rankin opened for them)
-Diana Krall
-Jann Arden

How was Diana Krall? I would really love to see her. She did the best version of "Fly me to the moon" that I have ever heard in my life.

Diana was ok. This was a couple of years ago. She didn't do much of her popular stuff, I guess she was plugging a new album. I wanted to hear her popular stuff. Also, she was somewhat boring in between songs. Not a lot of chit-chat and when she did speak she sounded bored.

geez, I wouldn't have the faintest idea where to begin...I've probably seen some 300 shows in my life.

some notables...

Grateful Dead (17 times)
Nirvana (will never forget that show...)
Dave Matthews Band (before they got big, when they opened for The Samples. Carrot Top also performed, lol)
Crosby Stills & Nash as well as Crosby Stills Nash & Young
Sheryl Crow (I was in the first row, three feet from her, as she performed on this pathetic little stage in the parking lot during the first Horde Festival)
Pink Floyd (one of my all-time favorite shows)
REM (the first show I attended)
Nine Inch Nails (easily the most laughably terrible performance I've ever seen. ahh, but the Jim Rose Circus opened, so it wasn't all bad)
The Frey (about 18 months ago, before they signed a major label and began a transparant marketing campaign involving pluggging the same damn song into every single American television drama, all to get you to buy their cd)

There are others, but I'm getting old and given all the awful things I put into my body back in those days, I find it hard to remember it all.

Certainly looks possible. Looking at your list I'm seeing a few more bands I've seen. Did you live in Southern California in the 80's/90's?

I sure did, lived out in Santa Clarita. We went to shows at the Country Club, Perkins Palace and the Olympic Auditorium downtown among other more obscure places.

The fact that nobody stopped to ridicule me makes me think either nobody is reading these things or you all have a very low opinion of my possible music tastes.

I dunno, Meatloaf could be fun. Or might have been fun fifteen years ago. And I'd totally go to a Dolly Parton concert! Some things are so campy that they're awesome.
