Give me a chance. :) I haven't even started voting that challenge yet... I finished free-study, and am now in the middle of high contrast which also has a huge number of entries.

| Mine is the one without the high contrast. You can skip it. I won't mind. But I do kinda like it just the same. :-) |

okay, tell you what... it's Sunday. That means a new challenge will be announced at midnight EDT. That will start our first week of competition. Any other challenges announced this week will be fair game, particularly the Tuesday opens.
Possible scoring strategies:
1. For each player, I will take the high score for the week, and then average them together for the team average. That means each player has to enter at least one challenge per week.
2. I take the top three scores for each team and get the average, that means 3 out of 4 players have to play every week.
3. I simply take the top three scores, so for example if  raish enters three challenges in one week and scores higher than all his teammates, I will take the average of his scores. This means that each team has to enter 3 challenges per week.
4. I take the average of all the scores of a team. This requires that each team only has to enter at least 1 challenge per week TOTAL.
2 thru 4 have the advantage of not requiring as much work (yay!) but the disadvantage that some players are going to feel excluded some weeks. Then again, the whole point of competition is to feel good at the expense of someone else's misery... hmmm.... so what do you think? or come up with another voting method. I've also mentioned adding points for favorites given during the challenge.

Could we have a running total?
Use #1, but if someone doesn't enter, they just don't get included.
Then keep a running total across all weeks. High score after 4 weeks wins that round.
Oh yeah, and give a bonus point to anyone who beats DrAchoo. *grin*

I like #1 the best too.
Also, I'm about to submit to the Faceless challenge so will that count since voting technically starts tomorrow? |

I say best three out of four scores, but the scores must be from three different photogs. That allows for the occasional "can't get a shot in this week" occurrences. To make it easier for Don, we all have to post our own scores so he doesn't have to go look 'em up.
And if anyone beats Achoo, I think the team automatically wins. :-) Doesn't count if Achoo doesn't enter.

i'd use #2. this gives a team the flexibility incase one of the members is unable to enter a challenge for a week (busy) or doesn't feel up to it (uninspired).

#2 sound fine.
Are the results going to tabulated on Wednesday mornings?
It seems we could tabulate this Wednesday (10/11) "Beer or Soft Drink", "High Contrast", and "Unrelatedness" and call this a preliminary suckdom round.
For those of us with severe lapses of memory, it would probably help to have the challenges posted that are going to be considered in the next calculation. |
