I just recieved a press card to shoot a soccer game in the highest divison, I've never shot any sports before but I'm supremly exited. Wohooo, this has been my dream for several years and it finally came true.

congratulations! i'm working on a local paper to take my sports photos...
not much luck yet, so i know how exciting this must be for you. Again, congratulations.

That awesome, congrats!!!

How do you go about obtaining a press card? Is there much involved? Any info would be great.

I just called the manager of the team and told him that I freelance, mentioned the name of the national stock-agency I'm with and he sent a pass that allows me to shoot from the sidelines of the field. ;P
